Mosalini y Quatuor Benaïm interpretan Beytelmann.
When the Quatuor Benaïm tries to develop his talent to the tango, he naturally asks to the argentinian master of bandoneon Juan José Mosalini. That’s the moment when Clásico y Moderno was born.
The bandeonist, instead of offering to the quatuor full of tango dreams a reinterpretation of the old classics songs, offer him an original music the one wich will be written by an other argentinian living in Paris, his friend for ages, Gustavo Beytelmann. The last one, like a real alcimist, makes two worlds mix: the classic and tango one. They ask for, they complete themselves and show us new sides.
Thus we can assist to the birth of an emotional music in which some parts are close to the tango some of them more far away. Between classicism and modernity, this contemporary work is the true inheritant of Pugliese or Piazzolla creations.
Mosalini and the Quatuor Benaïm offer a nowadays tango but also timeless one. It reveals a tango where the classical music put on light some aspects of his european music past.
